Redby Center has face-lift

Members of the Redby Community volunteered their time on Sunday, September 28, 2003 by painting the Redby Community Center, which is also home to the Redby Post Office and the Red Lake Food Distribution Program. The 30-year-old building didn’t look too bad after it was completed, although all four districts are in need of new community centers.

The Redby
Community
Center with many additions, including the Redby Post Office and what was initially going to be a bowling alley, but ended up being used as classrooms for the Indian Action Program.
It is also the home of the Food Distribution Program.  With all the additions, it is the largest Community Center on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, yet as far as available space is concerned, the Ponemah Community Center would have the most available community center  space.
The Red Lake Community Center is probably the smallest of all four community centers, and Red Lake has the largest amount of people in their district.
