Lady Warriors fall to Laporte

   The Red Lake girls basketball team hosted Laporte on Thursday, December 11, 2003, and once they fell behind 20-12 after one quarter and went cold in the second with just 4 points, couldn’t make up the 32-16 halftime deficit.

      Red Lake was outscored in the third quarter 20-15, but outscored Laporte in the final quarter 14-11, and it wasn’t enough, allowing Laporte to up their record to 4-0 on the season.

      The Lady Warriors, who are still looking for their first win after four starts, were led by Katie Perkins with 16 points, Charlene Anderson added 11, Andi Cobenais netted 9, Marie Spears had 5, and Lacaesse 3.

      Laporte’s Heather White led all scorers with 17, Megan Zubke put in 15, and Michelle Bessler and Amy Haegerty each had 11.

      Red Lake will host Red Lake County Center on Tuesday, December 16, 2003.
