Walter James Nevitt

Walter James Nevitt, 70 of Bemidji , MN and formerly of Nett Lake , MN died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji .

Graveside Services will be held in Nett Lake , MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born August 20, 1936 in Knife Falls Township , Carlton County , MN the son of Walter and Evelyn (Briggs) Nevitt.  He served with the US Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharge.  He attended Bemidji State University receiving his Master’s Degree in education.  He taught for the Red Lake school district and retired from there also.

He is survived by 6 children: Darwin Mason, Linda Sirignano, Jeff Nevitt, Brett Nevitt, James Nevitt, Natasha Nevitt;  2 sisters: Shirley and Diane; and 18 grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
