Robert Andrew Strong, 67, of Redby , MN died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji .

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake , MN with Father Pat Sullivan officiating.   A wake will begin at 4:00pm, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Redby Community Center in Redby , MN , and continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake , MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on July 27, 1939 in Red Lake , MN the son of John and Josephine (Jourdain) Strong.  He was raised and educated in Red Lake He enjoyed doing beadwork, attending pow-wows, reading his Bible nightly, visiting nieces and nephews, and taking care of his family.

He is survived by: Brothers, EugeneJiggy” Strong of Redby, MN; Fabian “Bunky” Strong of Redby; Sisters, Viola Cournoyer of Redby, Bernice Jourdain of Longmont , Colorado .

He was preceded in death by his parents, and great-nephew Brian Cournoyer.

Active Casketbearers will be his nephews: John Cournoyer, Darrell Cournoyer, David Cournoyer, Roger Strong, Ron Cournoyer, and Clint Donnell.

Honorary Casketbearers will be: Pat Brown, Herman Donnell, Justin Donnell, Michael Roy, Clint Donnell Jr., David Cournoyer Jr., Douglas Colhoff Jr., Shiloh Williams, Jesse Cournoyer, Robbie Cournoyer, Jeremy Cournoyer, Rodney Cournoyer, Clarence “Bunny” Brown, “Mully” Brown, Sandy Brown, Charlene Brown, Kathleen Strong, Amy Desjarlait, Timi White, Tyler Cournoyer, Annette Brown, Jerome Strong, Fabian Strong Jr., and all the staff and residents of the Jourdain-Perpich Extended Care Facility.
