Leland Sayers, 48, of Redby, MN died Thursday, April 28, 2005 in Fargo, ND at the MeritCare Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 5 2005 at the Little Rock Community Center. A wake will begin 10:00 am Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Little Rock Community Center. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of
the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
He was born in Red Lake, MN on December 5, 1956, the son of Royce and Esther (Fairbanks) Sayers. He was raised and educated in Red Lake. At the age of 8, he and his family moved to Minneapolis, MN. Leland attended the Phillips School. He was a traditional dancer and attended pow-wows whenever he could.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, laughing, and having fun.

of Red Lake, MN; Randy Sayers of Red Lake, MN; Royce Sayers Jr.;
Sisters, Marlene Barrett of Red Lake, MN;
Ramona Smith of Red Lake, MN; Alvina
Sayers of Red Lake, MN; and 6
Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, step-son
Dewayne Lewis, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, and Nephews.
