Eunice Alice Spears

 

 

Eunice Alice Spears, age 77 of Red Lake, MN died Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Red Lake PHS Hospital, Red Lake, MN.  Funeral services will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Lake, MN. Reverend John Kleinwachter will officiate.  A wake will start at noon on Thursday at the Little Rock Community Center, near Red Lake.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Red lake, MN with burial in the Spring.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, MN.

 

Honorary Bearers will be Nancy Beaulieu, Alvina Strong, LouAnn Wind, Patsy Blue, Juleen Needham, Alice Waybenais.

 

Active Bearers will be Patrick Dudley, Douglas “Oscar”  Spears, Royce Spears, Brandon Spears, Clarence Spears Jr., Scott M. Lussier

 

Eunice Alice Bedeau was born September 9, 1930 to Robert and Mary BedeauAlice attended school in Red Lake.  She married Albert Spears in 1952.  She worked at the Red Lake Elementary School as a cook.  She enjoyed sewing quilts, and traveling, spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Alice is survived by four daughters: Mary (Harold) Donnell, Red Lake, Kathy Dudley, Red Lake, Patsy (Bill) Thompson, Bagley, Donna (Terry) Jourdain, Red Lake;  two sons: Clarence (Gloria) Spears, Red Lake, and Frank (Melvina) Spears, Red Lake;  sister Alberta, Norris, Coon Rapids, MN;  aunt Marie Hardy;  sister-in-law Anna Spears;  20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; daughter, Gloria; sons, John, Albert Jr., Brian and Patrick; brothers Lawrence, Clarence and Melvin; sisters Catherine and Florence.
