Colleen Rae Johns

Colleen Rae Johns, 38, of Red Lake , MN died Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Red Lake Hospital in Red Lake , MN .  Arrangements are pending with the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake , MN with Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.  A wake will begin 4pm Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake and go until the time of service on Thursday.  Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji .

She was born March 6, 1969 in Oakland , CA the daughter of Phillip and Rose (Brun) Johns.  She grew up and attended school in Red Lake , MN .  She graduated from Red Lake High School in May 1986.  She joined the US Air Force August 1987 and worked as an Airplane Repair Specialist and received an honorable discharge in 1989.  She attended college at Bemidji State University and Northland Technical College and received a B.S. degree in nursing.  She worked as a Pharmacy Technician and a Registered Nurse at the Red Lake Hospital and as a Community Health Technician through out the state of Minnesota She enjoyed spending time with her son, family and friends.  She enjoyed taking her son and nephew to Twin games, movies, and out on the lake.  She also enjoyed golfing and going to concerts.

She is survived by her son: Matthew Dudley; Special friend: Ronald Hegstrom; Parents:  Phillips and Rose (Brun) Johns; Sister: Jessica Johns; Brother: Frank Johns; 2 nephews:  Jacob Johns and Damon Johns; Niece: Philomene Rose Johns: And numerous aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents James and Mary Jane Brun and paternal grandparents Frank and Philomene Johns and aunts and uncles.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Connie Neadeau,  Robin Neadeau, Janet Brun, Donna Brun, Michelle Johns, Simone Johns, Nicole Johns, Carla Brun, Val Stately, Val Johns and Denise Grimes.

Active Casketbearers will be Quentin Johns, Michael Johns, Bruce Johns, Joseph M. Johns, Donald Brun, Jr., Roman Stately III, Rick Chaboyea, Brandon Morgan, Jacob Johns with alternates Bob Dudley, Greg Stately, Al Lajeunesse, Sr., and Bill Spears.
