Benedict “Babe” Beaulieu, Jr. 64
of Red Lake died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the Jourdain/Perpich
Extended Care Facility in Red
Lake.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm
Thursday, July 28, 2005 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Pat Sullivan
officiating. A wake will begin Tuesday at 2 pm at the Red
Lake Center
in Red Lake and continue until the time of
services on Thursday. Interment will follow cremation at a later date
under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
He was born April 26, 1941 in Bemidji, MN
the son of Benedict Beaulieu, Sr. and Florence Roy Beaulieu. He was
raised by his grandmother Isabell Roberts. He
attended St. Mary’s Mission School thru 9th grade then went to Red Lake
High School. He
moved to St. Paul
and worked for Gopher Smelting. When he returned to Red Lake,
he worked for Comprehensive Health Services as a transportation driver until he
retired in 1988 due to health reasons. He married Patsy Jane Dick on
April 24, 1960 and they had 5 children. Together, they also raised 3
grandsons, Sean, Tridell and Trevenn.
He enjoyed all his grandchildren, going to casinos, hunting and fishing and was
an avid Red Lake Warriors Fan. He was a resident of the Jourdain/Perpich Extended Care Center for the past two
years where he made many special friends with the staff and residents.
He is survived by his
wife: Patsy; 2 sons: Michael (Tammy) Beaulieu; Bryan
(Judy) Beaulieu; 3 daughters: Pamela (Roy);
Maureen (Luis) ; Barb (Jason); 2 sisters: Kathy DeFoe ; Eliza (Milton) Kingbird; 4
uncles and 1 aunt; 16 grandchildren and one great grandson; Several nieces and
nephews
He was preceded in death by
parents, sister Sandy Holstein, his grandparents, 6
uncles and 2 aunts.

Beaulieu, Elly Beaulieu, Brandi Anderson, Vincent
