Anthony Hegstrom

 

Anthony Wade Hegstrom, (Maka da Makwa – Black Bear) 19 of Redby , MN died Saturday, August 18, 2007 in Red Lake .

 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 24, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake , MN with Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.   A wake will begin Wednesday, August 22 at the Red Lake Center and go until the services on Friday.

Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake , MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

 

He was born January 24, 1988 in Bemidji , MN the son of Ronald Hegstrom and Donna J. Cook. He attended school at Red Lake Elementary, Red Lake Middle School and graduated from Minot , ND in 2006.  He loved his new found hobby of making music with his friends. He found it as a vent for frustrations and a positive replacement for the negative things in life.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  His humor and charisma were unmatched by any.  He liked reading books and learning new things.

 

He is survived by his mother: Donna J. Cook;  Father:  Ronald Hegstrom;  Sisters:             Lola Hegstrom, Kristin Hegstrom, Deawndra and Leawndra Cook;  Niece:  Erin Hegstrom;  Special friend: Vanessa Cobenais;  Grandparents: Thern Hegstrom, Anna Auginash and Henry Cook

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aaron Hegstrom, Fred and Jeanette Auginash, Teddy and Ida Cook, Aggie and Louis Hegstrom and Alvin and Sophie Morrison, Sr.

 

Honorary Casketbearers will be Wendell, Richard, Duane, Kevin, Sr., Kevin, Jr., Kari, LaNae, Sheila and Julie Cook, Mike Sr., Mike, Jr., Louie, Charlie, Lola, Kristen, Marla and Sondra Hegstrom, Eddy Fairbanks, Shane Garrigan, Rod and Jeremy Cournoyer.

 

Active Casketbearers will be Ronald Hegstrom, Mike Donnell, Stan Cook, Bobby Donnell, Dan Cook, Frank Parkhurst, Courtney Whitefeather, Keith Donnell, Irv Sayers, Aaron May, Joe Good, Julius Thunder, Gary Auginash, Jr., Kyle Garrigan and Ron Cobenais, Jr.
