Albert “Biddy” Lussier

Albert “Biddy” Lussier (Gaa-dug-gibi-nais – Spotted Bird), 74 of Red Lake, MN died Friday, January 26, 2007 at University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. 

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake , MN with Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.   A wake will begin Monday at noon at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake and go until the time of service on Wednesday.  Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake , MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

 He was born September 8, 1932 in Red Lake the son of Gilbert and Elizabeth (Sayers) Lussier.  He was educated at St. Mary’s in Red Lake He served with the US Army from 1952-1955.  He married Rose Marie Goose July 28, 1956.  He worked for Red Lake Housing for 21 years retiring September 30, 1994.  He loved hunting and fishing.  His biggest joy in life was his grandkids.

He is survived by 2 daughters:   Alberta (Ole) Spears of Red Lake; Cindy ( Gary ) Lussier of Red Lake; 3 sons: Roland (Linda) Lussier, Sr. of Red Lake; Byron Lussier of Red Lake; Darwin Lussier of Red Lake; 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by parents, wife Rose Marie, sons Albert, Jr. and Vernon , grandchildren Chase, Byron, Jr. and Aaron, brothers Larry, Isadore, Jimmy, Robert and Tom, sisters Theresa and Sarah and several nieces and nephews.

Active Casketbearers will be Chris Lussier, Rolly Lussier, Jr., Donnie Lussier, Vern Morris, O.J. Spears and John Morris, Jr.
