WELLSTONE ACTION TO ARRIVE ON GREEN BUS

Members of Wellstone Action will be coming to Bemidji on Saturday September 25th to the Bemidji American Legion. Wellstone Action is a non-profit, non partisan group who trains people in grass roots organizing. They will be arriving on the green bus that Senator Paul Wellstone used in his campaigns.

Wellstone Action is teaming up with other progressive organizations to bring a day of training and action to Bemidji.

It will be a perfect opportunity to get involved, and to learn grass roots organizing “the Wellstone way”. According to volunteer Michael Meuers, “there will be an active morning of lectures and exercises led by experienced political organizers.” “Then participants will join other progressives and go ‘Door to Door’ in the community, talking to voters about issues that matter and mobilizing people to vote”, said Meuers.

Registration begins at 8:30 PM. The bus will be parked near the American Legion in Bemidji at 217 Minnesota Avenue. All are invited to participate and may register at the door of the bus.

This training is non-partisan and is sponsored by no political party.
