The 82nd Annual Ponemah Labor Day Pow Wow kicked off with its opening session on Friday night with almost 400 dancers reported by Pow Wow Committee members.
On Saturday, a parade took place at 11 a.m., with the Grand Entry at 1 p.m. that saw about 400 dancers enter the arena. Also taking place were softball tournaments, jingle dress and grass dance specials, a singing contest, other daily adult and kiddie activities, the Ponemah Princess Pageant, and the Men's Chicken Dance Contest. A fireworks display is scheduled for Sunday night. |
