On July 25, 2004 the Red Lake Bass Brats fished 2nd Thunder Lake. Earlier in the week Darwin went and broke up a floating mat of weeds so they could get through.
It was a warm and windy day. The scales were on the blink so they went by the total length of fish caught instead of by weight. It was also a money tournament.
Justin Jourdain caught 78 inches of fish for first place and $15.00. Second was Michele Sumner with 74" and she got $12.00. Jarvis King earned $10.00 with 69". Lakota, grandson of Florine Holstein came in 4th. Chris Beaulieu came in 5th place but earned $4.00 for his big bass length 18 inches! According to the Northland Tackle Guide his fish weighed 4.2 pounds. Logan Miller, the youngest fisherman, came in 6th with 16" of fish. April Kingbird had a tough day fishing and came back empty handed--everybody has those kinds of days. |
