The Red Lake Warrior Football Team lost a heart-breaker on Monday, October 18, 2004, against visiting Ada-Borup. The Warriors led 8-0 after one quarter of play, and 8-6 at the half.
In the third quarter the Warriors scored quickly, giving them a 14-6 lead, and another touchdown with less than 3 minutes remaining in the quarter gave them a 20-6 lead.
But things didn't go well for the young Warriors in the fourth quarter, as their defense broke down and allowed Ada-Borup to score two quick touchdowns and tie the game at 20-20, and go ahead 28-20 with just minutes remaining. A successful onside kick allowed Ada-Borup to eat up the remaining time on the clock and assure them the come-back victory. |
