Bagley downs Red Lake 14-2

The Bagley Flyers continued their mid-season resurgence, besting Red Lake 14-2 Friday at Bagley.

It was the Flyers third straight win, lifting them to 3-5 in Northland Conference play and 3-8 overall.

They travel to Akeley to meet WHA today and host Laporte Thursday in two key games. They entertain Nevis in a Friday game.

Blackduck visits Red Lake, Nevis is at Cass Lake-Bena and Laporte has a doubleheader at Baudette to complete todays league schedule.

Bagley managed only seven hits off Challenge Johnson but profited from numerous walks and errors.

A seven-run fourth broke open a 3-2 game and sent the Flyers on to win.

Kyle Backers three-run homer highlighted the big frame. Jonny Berg had two hits.

Johnson had two for Red Lake including a second inning homer.

Berg set down the Warriors on four hits for his first win. Johnson lost his second decision.
