| On Thursday, March 25, 2004, the entire Kindergarten crew held a public performance called "Dance Day" at the Kindergarten Center Gym in Red Lake. Two seperate performances took place beginning at 12:30 p.m., with Sharon Kingbird, Ojibwe teacher, and Angie Lauderbaugh, physical education teacher, coordinating the dances. A variety of dances were performed ranging from marching to Ojibwe traditional dancing. Red Lake's champion singers Eyabay provided the music for the powwow performances, which ended with a two-step where the students selected a partner from the audience. All 8 Kindergarten classes performed with teachers, Peterson, Loch, Furfaro, Boyd, Luethmers, West, Hanson, and Bradford. |
