Back in about 1967, the Red Lake Dental Clinic used to be in a separate building across from the Old Red Lake Hospital--which is currently the Red Lake Tribal Council--and one of the first Dental Assistants I remember, was Sugie (Sayers) Roberts. That's funny, too, because it would seem a person would remember someone who caused them pain rather than someone who tried to get you through some of that pain.
That was 37 years or so ago and I was about 9 years old.
Sherrlene "Sugie" Roberts of Red Lake, retired on Friday, August 6, 2004, after putting in over 37 years at the Red Lake Dental Clinic.
That's quite an achievement, and Red Lake Net News salutes her for her accomplishment, as well as thanks her for being an inspiration to others in the healthcare field--or any other occupation for that matter--and easing many of us through some of the pain in going through some dental procedures. |
