Red Lake loses baseball opener to Blackduck 19-3

      The Blackduck baseball team used a 13-run first inning to cruise past Red Lake 19-3 Tuesday, April 13, 2004, in Blackduck.

      The Drakes’ Scott Gerdes ended 2-for-2 with a double and Adam Beck went 3-for-4, Devin Lord 2-for-3 and Cody Gross 2-for-3.

      Challenge Johnson had a double for Red Lake.

      Beck picked up the win for Blackduck (1-0).

      The Drakes play Walker-Hackensack-Akeley in Akeley Thursday, April 15, in their next start. Red Lake (0-1) hosts Nevis the same day.
