Cooking the sap for maple syrup
Red Lake Elementary School students got a sample of the cooked maple sap used to make syrup during their trip to the Adrian and Karen Beaulieu farm in
Little Rock.
More photographs below
Red Lake Elementary School students from Mrs. West's Kindergarten class and Mr. Wulff's 5th grade class took a field trip to the Adrian and Karen Beaulieu farm in Little Rock.  At the farm they experienced the process involved in making maple syrup, observed chickens in their environment, along with almost 100 head of cattle in their pasture.  The cattle are a special breed developed by Beaulieu for a much leaner and healthier beef product.
