Beaulieu sentenced in
federal court
Timothy Joseph Beaulieu, 23, of Red Lake, was sentenced Thursday, April 8, 2004, in U.S.
District Court in St. Paul for brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Beaulieu was sentenced by Judge Donovan Frank to 33 months in prison.
At 1:35 a.m. May 18, Red Lake Police received two reports of shots fired at a house in the
Little Rock District west of the town of Red Lake. The officers arrived at the scene of the
shooting and saw Beaulieu in the yard carrying a shotgun. Beaulieu pointed the gun at his parents
and at police officers.
The case is the result of an investigation by the FBI and the Red Lake Law Enforcement.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Clifford Wardlaw prosecuted the case.
