TO:        RED LAKE NATION RESIDENTS

RE:             General Election – November 7, 2006

This is to inform you that TAKE ACTION MINNESOTA hired four (4) Political Canvassers to go DOOR-TO-DOOR to inform Red Lake residents on voting rights, political issues and to register new voters for the upcoming General Election. 

TAKE ACTION MINNESOTA is a non-profit organization from the metro area reaching out to Greater Minnesota.  One of their main purposes is promoting the importance of voting, as is the goal of the Red Lake Political Education Committee. Together we are teaming up to help bring information to your door!

The four individuals hired are Red Lake Tribal members – one from each district.  Their work schedule will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. beginning October 3, 2006.  They will be door knocking with a goal of visiting all the homes on the reservation, approximately 1800 households, in a 10 day period.

Your participation, by opening your door, talking to the Canvassers and going to the polls to vote on November 7, 2006 will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
