CONCHO -- The former head of
the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes has turned in a luxury car after
the tribal prosecutor charged him with stealing it.
Bill Blind was the Concho-based tribes'
business committee chairman until losing a re-election bid earlier this year.
An embezzlement complaint filed in August
accuses Blind of failing to return a 2002 Lincoln Town Car he bought using
tribal funds.
Blind surrendered the car Friday at his
tribal court arraignment, prosecutor Charles Morris said. Blind's next court
appearance is Oct. 20.
