| On Monday, November 22, 2004, an Academic Awards Ceremony took place at the Red Lake High School Cultural Room. Sixteen RLHS students received the awards for academic achievement, and they were as follows: |

| Superintendent of Schools Stuart Desjarlait gave the welcome address, as well as thanked the students for their extra efforts, as well as the parents of the students for pushing them to excell and take an active part in their child's education. He also stated the District wanted the school and the community to work together, and that they welcomed input from parents and grandparents. Offiering the traditional prayer was Spiritual Leader Greetings Spears, with the Battle River Singers performing the honor songs and traditional songs of thanks. Principal Chris Dunshee and Counselor Rose Brown presented the awards to the students. In order to receive an academic achievement award, a student must be on the honor roll all of their freshmen year and every year thereafter. It was very difficult task to achieve, and each recipient would receive an academic letter, with a pin every year they achieved the award thereafter. |
