Middle School students earned the
right to participate in the Minnesota.
State History Day competition at the University
of Minnesota on Apr. 1st. History Day is organized by the Minnesota
Historical Society. Students are given
the opportunity to select and research a historical subject of choice. They then present a paper, a performance, a
documentary or an exhibit detailing their research. After competing at the Regional level at
Bemidji State Univ., students earn the opportunity to present at the state
competition. Red
Lake's group performance on Ojibwe
Traditional and Generational Storytelling won the honor for the top Native
American project for Minnesota. Members of this group were Money Stately, Bianca
Mendoza, Eliza Lussier, Brooke Neadeau and Lisa
Butcher.
