Technology center to open today at Leech Lake

The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe in Cass Lake will open the Technology Achievement Center at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Sponsored by IBM, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Native American Chamber of Commerce, Microsoft, and SeniorNET, the center will provide computer technology access and education to the Ojibwe community with special curriculum and programs specifically for residents living on the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe reservation.

Tribal representatives and sponsoring organizations will celebrate the grand opening of the center at the Elder Nutrition Program located at 6212 Upper Cass Lake Road N.W. in Cass Lake.
