Woman admits distributing meth

A Lame Deer woman accused of dealing methamphetamine from public housing
pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Theresa Littlebird, 54, admitted to an indictment charging her with six counts
of distributing meth from housing owned by the Northern Cheyenne Housing
Authority. She was set for a jury trial today.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lori Suek said the Bureau of Indian Affairs began
investigating Littlebird after it received information that she was dealing
meth from her residence, which is owned by the tribe's Housing Authority. On
six occasions in January and February, Littlebird sold a total of about 30
grams of meth to an undercover witness from her residence. The buys were
monitored by video and audio, she said.
Littlebird faces a mandatory minimum of one year in prison to 40 years in
prison and a $2 million fine.
U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull set sentencing for Oct. 4 and continued
Littlebird's custody.
