Red Lake Nation to honor active duty military

Red Lake Nation will honor young men and women who are currently serving in the armed forces following the 7 p.m. Grand Entry Wednesday during the Independence Day Celebration and Powwow.

The Red Lake VFW will conduct an honoring ceremony for the 24 young men and women who are currently serving in the Armed Forces from the Red Lake nation. Two are serving in the Marines, four in the Navy, four in the Air Force, eight in the Army and six in the Army National Guard. Currently, five are serving in Iraq.
