June car crashes kill 31 in Minnesota

The Department of Public Safety says 31 people died in car crashes in Minnesota during the month of June.

Another 146 were injured.

At the midway point of 2006, there have been 224 traffic deaths in the state -- compared with 239 deaths at this time last year.

The Public Safety Department says the June deaths included 20 vehicle occupants, four motorcyclists, four pedestrians and three bicyclists
