Woman faces tribal murder charge

A Brockton woman has been arrested on suspicion
of a New Year's Eve stabbing death.
Stanette Crowe, 20, was arrested on a tribal murder
charge, Fort Peck Public Safety Director Lester Decoteau
said. Her arraignment is scheduled for today.
Crowe was arrested after officers were called to a house in Brockton and found Donald Eagleman
with a puncture wound in his chest, Decoteau said.
Eagleman, who would have turned 23 next week, was
taken to the hospital in Poplar where he was pronounced dead, Decoteau said.
Crowe and Eagleman were apparently a couple and lived together, he
said.
FBI Supervisory Resident Agent Ernie Weyend said the
death is being investigated by FBI agents.
The FBI and Fort Peck Tribal Police continue to investigate as a homicide the
Dec. 15 death of Anthony James Follette, 20. The
investigation is progressing, Weyend said. No one has
been taken into custody or charged in federal court, he said.
