Douglas Dwayne McFarlane,
19, a resident of Hearthstone, a residential group home in Brooklyn
Center, was killed in a shooting in Minneapolis.
His body was found at about 3 a.m. Tuesday
on the street, according to Minneapolis Police. Lt. Amelia Huffman, police
spokeswoman, said no weapon had been recovered and no arrests had been made,
according to a StarTribune report.
McFarlane had lived in the Twin Cities most
of his life, but had Bemidji and Cass Lake
family connections.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at
the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake
and continue until the time of the service at 10 a.m. Monday.
