Boys Basketball

Cass Lake-Bena 109,

Blackduck 38

CASS LAKE – Thirteen players dented the scoring column for Cass Lake-Bena as the boys basketball team exploded for a 109-38 win over Blackduck Friday.

The win put the Panthers, who led 59-14 at halftime, at 12-0 on the season.

Brady Fairbanks led all scoring with 27 points in the win. Nate Salscheider added 24 points and Kevin Muller hit 15.

The Drakes’ Trapper Goltz and Jonny Bennett ended in double figures with Goltz netting 12 and Bennett 11.

CLB hosts Laporte Tuesday and Blackduck (1-6) is at Pine River-Backus the same night.

Goodridge 44

FOSSTON – Josh Roysland scored 29 points to pace Fosston over Goodridge 83-44 Friday to even their record to 4-4 on the year.

Corey Frank and Jesse Defrang each hit 13 points and John Bruggeman added 10.

Nick Mickelson led the Huskies with 20 points.

The Greyhounds are at Waubun Monday in their next start.

Lake of the Woods 64

NORTHOME – Justin Gilge scored 24 points and Adam Nistler added 21 and the Kelliher/Northome boys basketball team defeated Lake of the Woods 82-64 Friday.

The Mustangs are now 4-4 on the season.

Dustin Poxleitner and Chase Pink added 10 points each in the win.

Todd Perala led the Bears with 19 points.

K/N is at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Tuesday in its next start.
