Today my dad would be 36
but god had to take him away
on that warm summer day.
I miss the way he looked at me
I miss the way he smiled when he seen me.
Some days I hear your voice,
and turn to see your face
but you are not there.
So many images come to mind
when I speak your name,
So many questions,
that remain unanswered.
I thank you for loving me the way you did,
and thank you for giving me my life.
Please always know I love you with all my heart
and no one can ever take your place; years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.
