Cass Lake-Bena 93,

Nevis 54

CASS LAKE – The Cass Lake-Bena boys basketball team breezed to its 11th straight win Thursday beating Nevis 93-54.

CLB led 49-19 at halftime.

Brady Fairbanks continued his torrid pace leading the night with 23 points in the win – 18 in the first half.

Anthony Robinson scored 14 while twins Joel and Nate Salscheider each ended with 12.

Taylor Schroeder led Nevis with 13 points while Matthew Lien and Jon Gunkel each chipped in 11.

The Panthers connected on 13 3-pointers from nine different players.

CLB hosts Blackduck and Nevis (2-6) is at Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig tonight.

Cass Lake-Bena 46

CLEARBROOK – Senior forward Katie Anderson scored a game-high 22 points to lead four players in double figures for Clearbrook-Gonvick in a 72-46 win over Cass Lake-Bena Thursday.

Juniors Heidi Kjolhaug and Claire Rydeen added 18 and 16 points respectively and junior Maria Kjolhaug chipped in 12 points for the Bears (6-3).

The Panthers were led by junior Ashleigh Trosen with 19 points. Amber Brunelle added 16 for CLB (4-8).

Cass Lake-Bena is at Nevis Tuesday while Clearbrook-Gonvick hosts Blackduck the same night.

Fertile-Beltrami 40

FOSSTON – Senior Kelly Landsverk scored a game-high 22 points – 19 in the first half – to lead Fosston over Fertile-Beltrami 61-40 Thursday.

Trista McGlynn added 10 points in the win for the Greyhounds (3-5).

Kasi Hasbrouck led the Lady Falcons with 13 points.

Fosston is at Kittson Central tonight.
