Pioneer Letter to editor: Funding smoking ban is a
waste of money
Smoking bans are really a violation of property rights and personal freedom. Second-hand smoke has yet to be proven by “real science.”
Air filtration systems work to clean the air and that is all that should be required. If the
state smoking ban bill is passed, it will effect many Minnesotan citizens and financially
devastate restaurants, bars and private clubs.
Our state budget is in big trouble. I am an adult and choose to use products. Spending
our taxpayer’s money on smoking bans is a waste of money.
Exaggerated health risks about second-hand smoke is a waste of time, effort and
money. The lost revenues from a smoking ban would make our budget problems even
worse for no health gain!
