The Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club held their 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off fundraiser on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at the Red Lake Community Center.
There were 6 participants this year, and those that purchased a bowl for $5.00 had the opportunity to sample each one--or eat as much of their favorite as they could handle. Those sampling the chili also voted for the winners in 3 categories.
Taking top honors for 2005 in both the Taste and Name category was "Kev's Snow Melinting Chili", prepared by Kevin Hart Jr.
Dawn Huseby won the Table Presentation award.
Everyone got their fill of some of the finest chili in the world--or at least the Red Lake area--and no one left the least bit hungry. |
