I appreciate the fact that so many people of Bemidji openly demonstrate support with positive comments for our Red Lake Nation. I am a member of the Red Lake Band and concerning the recent "attacks": I think we should probably point out they don't deserve response; but, we see letters like Ms. Jacobs authored and they deserve not only response but demonstrated appreciation.
Thanks to Carolyn Jacobs and the majority of other people in and around Bemidji with the intelligence to see what "that group" is trying to do. In my opinion, "that group" just provides the encouragement we need (in Red Lake) to secure more than 90% voter turn out. As citizens, we exercise our constitutional rights.
