Fred Auginash, of Redby, became $163,281.20 richer when he hit the IC Money Progressive on Saturday night, September3, 2005, at the 7 Clans Casino in Thief River Falls.
The jackpot was the largest ever paid out at any Red Lake Gaming facility, including 7 Clans Casino in Warroad and 7 Clans Casino in Red Lake.
Auginash and his wife, Bridget, had been playing those progressive machines throughout the evening, and hit the jackpot just before they were going to grab a bite to eat and head for home. Prior to Fred's big win, Bridget also had hit a jackpot of $2,000.
After taxes, Fred received about $122,000 in cash and a check.
