Student Summer Internship

Great Lakes-NARCH Student Development will hire a student intern to work (400 hours @ $12/hour for graduate students & $9/hour for undergraduate
students) beginning May 21st) on American Indian research partnerships with the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health.

Qualifications:
      * Current college student
      * American Indian
      * Interested in American Indian health & research

If you are interested, please get the following to me by May 7.  We hope to make a decision by May 11 and have someone start May 21.

      1)  Cover sheet with your name, contact info, tribal affiliation, year in school & major

      2) Letter of Interest

Briefly address the following points in your letter:
     Your health and/ or research interest areas
     The skills & abilities you would bring to the internship
     Your academic goals & how this internship will benefit you
     What areas you may need support or training
     Any awards, recognition or community service you have participated in
     
      3) Copy of most recent transcript, (not official) w/ current cumulative GPA
  
      4) Sample of your writing, such as an essay or report

      5) Contact information for two academic references
