Special Agent
in Charge Ralph S. Boelter of the Minneapolis FBI
Office announced Tuesday the results of the autopsies of Tristan Anthony White,
4, and Avery Lee Stately, 2.
The Ramsey County Medical
Examiner provided the FBI with a copy of the provisional report regarding the
autopsies. The provisional report indicated there is no evidence of any
traumatic injuries to either Tristan or Avery. The cause of their deaths is
listed as probable accidental freshwater drowning.
The brothers disappeared from
their home in the Walking Shield neighborhood of the Red Lake Reservation Nov.
22. A massive search last fall failed to find any sign of the boys.
The FBI resumed the search
Sunday morning. Dogs soon found the scent and the boys’ bodies were recovered
encased in ice from First
Thunders Lake
about a half-mile from there.
