Assists with all aspects of the program.Half-time position, reporting to the CRAFT
Coordinator.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Works with the
Coordinator to collaborate and communicate with tribal prosecutor,
community elders, and clients involved in the project to promote
positive public relations and meet project objectives.
Assists coordinator
in the planning, implementation and scheduling of meetings with Elder
Judges and youth.
Assists coordinator
with therapeutic Ojibwe C.R.A.F.T. workshops.
Assists youth in
creating Ojibwe crafts and beadwork gifts for restitution.
Assists coordinator
in keeping current files, and progress reports of the project.
Other duties as
assigned.
Qualifications:
·G.E.D./High school diploma
·At least one year experience/knowledge of tribal juvenile
court protocol.
·ValidState drivers license and auto
insurance.
·Knowledge of culture and traditions of the Red Lake
Ojibwe, as well as knowledge of Ojibwe craft making and beadwork.
·Must be able to work effectively with youth and Elders.
·Positive role model for youth and community members at RedLake.
·Must be willing to work evening hours, as well as weekends
when necessary.
·Knowledge of policies as it pertains to confidentiality.
