 HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Under the general supervision of the General Manager with indirect report to Human Resources Director is responsible to assist with Human Resources functions of Seven Clans Casinos.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

v    Acts as liaison to assist with supervisor and employee relations and conflict resolution.

v    Responsible to assist with the recruitment, selection and processing of applicants and employees of organization.

v    Assists with the coordination of the hiring procedure to ensure applicants are treated fairly, policies and procedures followed, and staffing needs met in a timely manner.

v    Responsible to ensure rules, regulations and policies are followed consistently throughout the organization.

v    Ensures procedures are followed in accordance to applicable laws, rules and regulations; makes recommendations for changes in procedures, rules and regulations.

v    Interprets and explains the Associate Policy Manual.

v    Assists with the investigation of employee and management complaints.

v    Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons.

v    Maintains confidential personnel files with up-to-date information.

v    Maintains good rapport with applicants, employees and management.

v    Assures integrity and confidentiality throughout all phases of the Human Resources department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

It is required the Human Resources Specialist have High School Diploma or Equivalency. The Human Resources Specialist needs to possess certification in Human Resources or willing to work towards certification. Must have college or vocational training in regards to Human Resources or equivalent with related experience preferred. Must have Drivers License and be willing to travel on occasion.
