Phase XI – 30 Single Family Home Project

Red Lake Reservation Housing Authority

 

 

NOR-SON, Inc. on behalf of Red Lake Reservation Housing Authority, Phase XI Little Rock, MN will be receiving sealed bids for the construction of (30) single family residential homes.

 

Sealed bids in duplicate including Bid Security and Form 5369-A HUD will be received by the  Construction Manager for the “Red Lake Homes – XI Project” at Family and Children Service Center in Red Lake, MN on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 until 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be opened and read publicly.  Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.  Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

 

There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference held at Family and Children Service Center in Red Lake, MN on April 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.

 

The Project Manual will fully describe the bidders’ scope of work in the following bid packages.  The owner will be making bulk purchases for some of the building materials.

Bidding documents prepared by Red Lake Housing Authority will be available after March 21, 2008 for dissemination and public inspection at the office of the Housing Authority, Highway 1 East, Red Lake, MN  (Phone:  218-679-3368), the office of the Construction Manager, NOR-SON, Inc., 7900 Hastings Road, Baxter, MN  56425 (Phone:  218-828-1722), the FW Dodge Plan Room, Minneapolis, the Builders Exchanges of Bemidji, Fargo and Hibbing and Reed Construction Data.

 

Bidders may obtain a set of bidding documents by contacting the Red Lake Housing Authority Architect, Richard Borgstrom or the Construction Manager Representative, Shawn Close at NOR-SON, Inc.  There is a $50.00 deposit for plans and specifications, which will be refunded when the set is returned to the Owner.  Each bid package is to be submitted in a separate sealed envelope.  The bid package number and bid division/s shall be identified on the outside of each bid package envelope.  There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room of Family and Children Services Center.  All bidders are encouraged to attend.

 

All bids on the project will be subject to Indian Preference in Indian Housing, HUD Regulations in 24 CFR, Part 905.204 and the requirements of 7 (b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S. C. 450 e (b).  The HUD document #5369, “Instruction to Bidders” and HUD document #5369-A “Representations Certification, and Other Statements of Bidders” shall be a part of the bid.

 

No bids may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days from the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.

 

The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or parts of bids and to waive informalities therein, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if in their discretion the interests of the Owner will be best served thereby.
