Thank You!

From Seven Clans General Manager & Marketing Staff to all who participated in the Tenth Annual Red Lake Nation Youth Golf Tournament.

This year’s tournament was held at Thief River Golf Club with a total of 55 teams playing.  This was our tenth year for this tournament and it was a tournament that all who participated will not soon forget.

Saturday, June 28th was a day that no one will forget, the day started out cloudy and gloomy with just a misting of rain.  The teams showed up for the morning start and all teams were dispersed to begin.  BUT… as the day was turning to late morning the rain became a factor and the winds started to show up.  We all kept hoping the weather would change but as day turned to early afternoon this was not going to happen.  All the teams and the helpers braved the weather and they did finish the 18 holes scheduled.  By late afternoon the weather turned around and we sent out the pm group and they did get to golf in better conditions.  To those that golfed in the morning now these men are what most call avid and true golfers.

Sunday turned out to be the best weather any golfer could ask for.  It was weather we wished for on Saturday morning but as with Mother Nature she does what she wants and she did give us one great day on Sunday.

Seven Clans marketing department would like to thank all the helpers who gave their time and great effort to make this an enjoyable tournament for everyone.  When the golfers were struggling with the weather on Saturday morning they also were braving the elements and still gave 100% to make this a great tournament.  Joe Thunder and I appreciate the help and appreciate the fun you bring to the tournament!  You who gave up your time and did the behind the scene operations for this event have to know that your efforts help to make this event special that goes to help all the youth in Red Lake.  Thank you goes out to DNR for providing water for the participants.  Thank you to Thief River Golf Club.
