Cass Lake teacher arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography
According to a press release from Sheriff Phil Hodapp of the Beltrami County Sheriff's Department, on Thursday, January 24, 2008, Mr. Eddie Eugene Himes, 65, was arrested at his residence in Northern Township following an investigation conducted by members of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension/ Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC), Saint Paul Police ICAC Unit and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Investigators. Eddie Himes is employed by the Cass Lake Independent School District as an EBD teacher at the Middle School.
The case has been referred to the Beltrami County Attorney for consideration of charges of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.
Himes is being held in the Beltrami County Jail pending a first appearance before a District Judge tomorrow.
