Volunteer Court Monitors Needed
The Greater Minnesota Racial Justice Project-ACLU-MN, of Bemidji, is looking for members of our communities to become volunteer court monitors in the following counties: Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Hubbard, Itasca, Mahnomen, and Becker.
Our presence in the courtroom promotes accountability, and raises public awareness. Our data collecting will provide a forum for constructive dialog, will allow us to become better advocates for resources, and be used in statistical research.
If you are interested in the judicial process, are 18 years of age or older, and are available weekdays beginning at 8:45am, please call 218-444-2285 to make an appointment.
Volunteer internships are also available at The Greater Minnesota Racial Justice Project-ACLU-MN. Our office is located at 303 Railroad St., Bemidji, in the Warehouse.
